I am sitting on top of an empty dryer, aged two. My mother is sorting the clothes of our family of five. I am no longer too tiny to hold the sharp point of graphite. She molds my hand, to properly hold a pencil. From there I am off, never to stop drawing, coloring, painting, creating. Starting with the overlapping circles that I vividly remember forming an elephant, I would go on to express people I wanted to be, places I wish I were, and things I wish I had.
